Williamsport Music Club to hold May meeting
The Williamsport Music Club will hold their May meeting at 7 p.m. May 23 at the Robert M. Sides Family Music Center, 201 Mulberry St.
The theme of the program is “The Rhythm of Broadway,” with program chairman, Ryan Workman.
Ushers for the program are Joanne Kiehl and Mary Brophy. The Song of the Month will be presented by Barby Smith and Carol Waltz.
For the “The Rhythm of Broadway,” Tom Wetzel on piano will perform “Overture” from South Pacific; Ryan Workman and Wetzel will perform “The Impossible Dream,” from “Man of La Mancha”; from “Guys and Dolls,” Sara Scott and Kristin Ivers will perform “Adelaide’s Lament”; Trinity Miller and Ivers will perform “Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man” from “Show Boat”; “The Phantom of the Opera” will be performed by Miller, Workman and Wetzel; “I Am What I Am” from “Le Cage aux Folles,” will be performed by Jared Whitford and Leatha Kieser; “Gimme Gimme” from “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” will be by Amy Peck and Ivers; and “One More Day” from “Les Miserables,” will be performed in a collaborative effort by Workman, Nathan Fulkerson, Peck, Miller, Whitford, Kieser and Charles Getchell.
The program is open to the public.
