Missoula Children’s Theatre to hold auditions for ‘Cinderella’

Audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of “Cinderella” 4-6 p.m. Monday at the Troy High School Memorial Auditorium. Those auditioning should arrive at 3:45 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.

Among the roles to be cast are Cinderella; her two stepsisters; the Stepmother; the Fairy Godmother; the King; the Prince; Cleo the Cat; Fido the Dog; Beggars; Lords and Ladies; Mice; and Pumpkins. Students grades kindergarten through 12th grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities. There is a participation fee for those who receive a part in the residency. There is no fee to audition.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour actor and directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4-8:15 p.m. each day.

“Cinderella” will be presented at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Troy HS Memorial Auditorium. All tickets will be sold at the door. The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Troy is presented locally by the Bradford County Regional Arts Council.
