WELLSBORO — Gabe Stillman Band brings their skill and high energy music to to the Coolidge Theatre stage at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts, 104 Main St.

The trio’s electrifying sound is unmistakably rooted in American blues and are influenced by soul R&B, funk and New Orleans jazz and blues music. They perform original songs and covers to pay respect to the legends of blues.

Based in Williamsport, the hard-stompin’ blues band is led by Gabe Stillman, ace guitarist and singer, who formed the band in 2015 after graduating from Boston’s Berklee College of Music.

Fueld by Colin Beatty, bassist, and Jesse Roedts, drummer, the band has climbed to the top of regional blues circuit with standout performances.

Joining the band for their performance at the Coolidge Theatre will be Stacia Abernatha, of Williamsport, and Mike Brown, of Geneseo, N.Y.

Abernatha writes, sings and plays her own songs. She often sings with the Gabe Stillman Band, too.

Brown will open on Aug. 25. A multi-instrumentalist, Brown will play his own original Americana blues songs. He runs a recording studio in Geneseo and produced Stillman’s newly released extended play CD “The Grind.” “The Grind” will be available to purchase at the concert.
