‘Doubt, A Parable’ coming to Susquehanna University

SELINSGROVE — The Susquehanna University Department of Theatre proudly announces its fall production, “Doubt, A Parable” by John Patrick Shanley.

Performances will be in the Degenstein Theatre on the campus of Susquehanna University at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20-22 and at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 23.

The 2005 Pulitzer Prize-winning play is set in 1964 in a New York City Catholic school and tells the story of Principal Sister Aloysius who takes matters into her own hands when she suspects a young priest of improper relations with a male student.

“Doubt” is directed by Professor of Theatre, Dr. Anna Andes, as part of the Advanced Acting Workshop Production of the university’s theatrical season.

Tickets for all Department of Theatre productions can be purchased through the Box Office located in the Degenstein Campus Center Theater lobby. The box office is open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday when classes are in session.
