Harvest Festival Pops Concert venue changes

MILTON — About 70 people have practiced for Milton’s 42nd annual Harvest Festival Pops Concert and are eager to present musical entertainment at 7 p.m. Sept. 13. at St. Andrews Methodist Church, 102 Lower Market St. There is a cost.

Connie Pawling-Young and Russ Wynn Jr., directors, will be accompanied by Brett Hosterman and Pawling-Young on piano, Sharon Styer on keyboard and John Collins on percussion. Olivia Rearick will dance to “Sway.”

Selections from the patriotic, religious and Broadway venues provides something for everybody. The opener is Barry Manilow’s popular “One Voice” and the closing selection is “One Day More” from Les Miserables. There will be other Broadway numbers like “Climb Every Mountain” and “I’ll Never Walk Alone,” and movie selections — “This Is Me” from “The Greatest Showman” and “Another Day of Sun” from “La La Land.” Religious numbers include “This Little Light of Mine” and “Glory of His Promises.”

Naomi Dries will perform a number from Waitress, The Musical and Wally Fairman will sing “Try to Remember” from “The Fantastics.” Becki Dries will present from “The Sound of Music,” and Hank Baylor will perform “King of the Road.” Viki Funk will perform “Be My Baby” with backup singers, while Erin Merrill and Adam Waltz will sing a duet from “Godspell.” Cindy Coup, Virginia Amme and Naomi Dries will perform “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.”
