Elise Kristen Salisbury and Ryan Matthew Gordner, both of Avis, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013.
Dennis Buttorff officiated at the ceremony held at The Inn at Walnut Acres, Bellefonte.
The bride is the daughter of Annette Salisbury, of Mill Hall. She graduated from Central Mountain High School, Mill Hall, in 2004. She received a bachelor’s degree in education from Lock Haven University in 2008 and a master’s degree in reading specialist from Edinboro University this year. She is employed by Keystone Central School District as a middle school reading and ESL teacher.
Gordner is the son of Jennifer and Scott Gordner, of Jersey Shore. He graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School in 2005 and received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and surveying from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2010. He is employed by HRI Inc. as an estimator and project manager.
Maid of honor was Hope Salisbury, of Avis, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Erica Smith, of Castenea; Lindsay Gordner, of Jersey Shore, sister of the bridegroom; Marissa Barner, of Blanchard; Ashley Rippey; Taryn Walker; and Stephanie Hackenburg, all of Mill Hall.
Ring bearer was Coy Strouse, of Loganton, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Curt Herman, of Winchester, Va., cousin of the bridegroom.
Groomsmen were Nate Bardell, of Loganton; Zach Rishel, of Mill Hall, brother of the bride; Brian Ludwig, of Johnstown; Jake Barclay, of Avis; Eric Weymouth, of Waterville; and Max Rainey, of Jersey Shore.
Following a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in Avis.
