Alexandria Benshaw and Patrick Sweeney, both of Annapolis, Md., were united in marriage at 8 p.m. July 13, 2013.
The Chaplin Loveta Wilen officiated at the ceremony held at Annapolis Wedding Chapel.
A dinner was held at Ceoltas Irish Pub, Harrisburg.
The bride is the daughter of Barbara and Timothy Benshaw, of Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2000. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Lock Haven University in 2004 and a master’s degree in reading specialist from Goucher’s College, Annapolis, in 2012. She is employed by Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Arundel County, Md., as a reading specialist.
Sweeney is the son of JoAnne and Raymond Sweeney, of Womelsdorf. He graduated from Conrad Weiser High School, Womelsdorf, in 2000. He received a bachelor’s degree in fitness management from Lock Haven University in 2004 and graduated from the police academy, Virginia, in 2011. He is employed by Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area Transit Authority as a police officer.
Following a wedding trip to the Bahama’s, the couple is residing in Annapolis
