Amanda Benedict, of Montoursville, and Isaac Karaffa, of Williamsport, were united in marriage at 1 p.m. July 13, 2013.

Monsignor Stephen McGough officiated at the ceremony held at Saint Lawrence Parish, South Williamsport.

The bride is the daughter of Jane and Michael Benedict, of Montoursville. She graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 2006. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Shippensburg University in 2009 and a master’s degree in reading from Bloomsburg University in 2012. She is employed as an elementary reading specialist.

Karaffa is the son of Mary and Joseph McNutt, of Williamsport. He graduated from Saint John Neumann Regional Academy in 2006 and received a bachelor’s degree in English from Penn State University in 2010. He is employed as a recruitment specialist.

Matron of honor was Ashley Weaver, of Denver, Pa.

Bridesmaids were Michelle Hess, of Culpeper, Va., sister of the bride; Jessi Haas, of Middletown, Conn.; Amber Whitesel, of Mechanicsburg; Samantha Carey, of Montoursville, sister of the groom; and Alicia Shaffer, of Hughesville.

Best man was Lucas McNutt, of Williamsport, brother of the groom.

Groomsmen were Vince Nolan, of Williamsport; James Ayrer, of Middletown; Kyle Benedict, of Richmond, Va., brother of the bride; Brandon McMahon, of Montoursville; and Zach Long, of Pittsburgh.

Following a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple is residing in Montgomery.
