Karleigh Joy Benedict and Adam S. King, both of Winston-Salem, N.C., were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Dec. 21, 2013.
Dr. Rob Decker officiated at the ceremony held at New Friendship Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, where a rehearsal dinner also was held.
A reception was held at Holiday Inn, Winston-Salem.
Benedict is the daughter of Cindy and Dean Benedict, of Hughesville. She graduated from Hughesville High School in 2005 and received a bachelor’s degree in Bible with a minor in counseling from Piedmont International University, Winston-Salem, in 2012. She is employed by Wake Forrest University School of Law, Winston-Salem, as an administrative assistant to law development and alumni relations.
King is the son of Bonnie and Bruce King, of Clayton, N.C. He graduated from Clayton High School in 2009. He received a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies in 2013 from Piedmont International University and is pursuing a master’s degree in theology at Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, Texas. He is employed by HH Gregg, Winston-Salem, as a home theatre specialist.
Matron of honor was Morgan Decker.
Maid of honor was Jessica DeBord.
Bridesmaids were Riley White, cousin of the bride; Erica Benedict, sister-in-law of the bride; Evan Hoyt, Allison Ryneski, Karen Wetterlund, and Kelsey Killon.
Flower girls were Tatum and Jazmyne Bolin, and Katie and Anna Stugelmeyer.
Best man was Sam Drake.
Groomsmen were Derek and Austin Benedict, brothers of the bride, Chris Whittlinger, Nathan Jones, Andrew Richards, Zach Decker, and Cameron Kilby.
Following wedding trips to Washington, D.C., and New York City, the couple is residing in Winston-Salem.
