5 new members join firm’s advisory council

The Croda Inc. Community Advisory Council recently welcomed five new members to the all-volunteer advisory group for its Mill Hall facility. Area residents Tina Geyer, Kevin Fanning, Mike Flanagan, James Merinar and Shannon Tyson joined the 12-member council, which was established in 2001 to better educate community members about Croda and to enhance peoples’ understanding of the local manufacturer.

Geyer resides in the Draketown neighborhood near the Croda facility and serves as office manager at The Express Lock Haven newspaper. This is her second time to participate on the council, having served as an original member of the group.

Fanning is an Avis resident who serves as director of the Clinton County Department of Emergency Services.

Lock Haven resident Flanagan serves as executive director of the Clinton County Economic Partnership.

Merinar, of Lock Haven, is a chemistry teacher at Central Mountain High School.

Tyson of Lock Haven is the director of workforce development and continuing education at Lock Haven University.

The new members join seven other local residents on the CAC, including Brian Martin, Paige McCaleb, Gary Mellott, Michelle Rae, April Strouse, Michelle Walizer and Tom Walker. Charlie Williams, Croda manager of safety, health, and environmental affairs, serves as leader for the advisory council.

Each of the new members will serve a three-year term on the council. They replace members Rob Getz, Fred Hoy, Nicole Rall-Miller, Betty Packer and Sue Peters, whose terms on the Advisory Council recently ended.
