Announcement was made by William Hodrick, President, Prudential Hodrick Realty, of those sales associates of the firm who had qualified for the prestigious Diamond Club Quarterly Sales Award for the 3rd quarter of 2013. The award is presented to those sales associates who have achieved a high level of closed transactions during the quarter. “I am exceptionally proud of the outstanding work of these sales associates,” Hodrick stated. Receiving the award was: Gail Bair, Kevin Hodrick, Karen Newcomer, Jim Shaible, Barbara Velez, Chris Wallace, Marianne White and Jodi Wolfe.

The company’s Masters Circle Awards for the 3rd Quarter to the sales associate with top production in each of the following categories: Listings taken Gail Bair, Williamsport office; opened sales Chris Wallace, Williamsport office; and closed sales Volume Connie May, Lewisburg office.

In addition, the monthly award for the sales associate with top production in listings for the month of September was presented to Rhonda Inkrote while the top sales award for September went to Gail Bair. “Agents like Rhonda and Gail make our team the best place in our marketplace for consumers to turn to whenever they have a real estate need. Hughesville native receives award

Hughesville native Richard J. Hafer has been presented the Chairman’s Award by Sysco Foods. Hafer, a marketing associate for Sysco since 2007 received this prestigious national award in recognition of outstanding sales and service to his customers. Hafer’s high volume of sales during the past year along with his dedicated commitment to helping his clients achieve a higher level of success were instrumental to achieving this significant award.

Sysco is the global leader in selling, marketing and distributing food products to restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, lodging establishments and other customers who prepare meals away from home.

Hafer provides services to his restaurant clients along the South Carolina coast from his home in Myrtle Beach. He is a 1996 graduate of Hughesville High School and in 2001 received his bachelor of science degree in marketing from the Smeal College of Business of Penn State University.

Construction firm salutes employee

Gary Rosencrans was recently recognized as the September Employee of the Month at Construction Specialties, Inc. in Hughesville.

According to a news release, Rosencrans possesses tremendous work ethic. He always is willing to give a helping hand and makes every minute of his day useful. His experience and innovation have enhanced work processes, increased production, and improved ergonomic safety.

Five Citizens and Northern Bank employees have been recognized for a combined 70 years of service to the financial institution.

Recognized during the November service awards luncheon were: Donna Bowers, Elkland branch customer service representative, 10 years; Victoria Harrison, Canisteo community office manager, 15 years; Christopher Rell, senior appraiser in the Jersey Shore office, 10 years; Michelle Webb, customer transaction specialist in the Knoxville office, 10 years; and Dianne Zimmerman, loan processor – uplinker in Wellsboro, 25 years.

Service awards luncheons are held regularly and hosted by bank chairman, president and CEO Charles H. Updegraff, Jr. In 2013, C&N recognized 20 employees for a total of 300 years of service to Citizens and Northern Bank.

Bank names regional presidents

Richard A. Grafmyre, president and CEO of Jersey Shore State Bank and Penns Woods Bancorp., Inc. recently announced the reorganization of Jersey Shore State Bank’s retail branch system. The new retail branch organization will, according to a news release, offer a more customer focused structure with regionalized leadership.

With the reorganization the company named the following Regional Presidents:Western region President Craig Russell, Central region President Tammy Gunsallus, Eastern region President David Palski

“As the company’s footprint expands it has become more important that we have local leadership who can make important decisions and take care of our customers,” said Grafmyre.

A 16-year Jersey Shore State Bank employee, Russell most recently served as the regional vice president of the Clinton and Centre County market areas and the Branch Manager of the Jersey Shore State Bank Lock Haven branch prior to becoming the Western regional president. Active in the community Russell is a board member of the Clinton County Community Dental Clinic, Lock Haven Elks, Citizens Hose Co., Economic Partnership Finance Committee and the Belles Springs Golf Committee. He also is a member of the finance committee at Holy Spirit Church and the Lock Haven Area YMCA.

Prior to her position as the Central regional president, Tammy Gunsallus was the Jersey Shore State Bank regional vice president for the bank’s Jersey Shore area branches. With more than 31 years of banking experience, she is an active volunteer in the Lycoming County area. Gunsallus is a member of the boards of the Jersey Shore Chamber and the Jersey Shore YMCA. She is a Committee Member of the Jersey Shore Source Water Committee and the Rivertown Revitalization Team of Jersey Shore, as well as a board member and secretary of the CHAD Gardens. She also volunteers with the Lycoming United Way as the Jersey Shore business chairwoman and Funds Distribution Committee member and is the Treasurer of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Joining Jersey Shore State Bank in 1999, David Palski held the position of regional vice president prior to being named the Eastern regional president. A graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking and Leadership Lycoming, Palski is very active in the local community. He was a member of the Grand Slam Parade Committee chosen for The Williamsport Lycoming Chamber of Commerce 2010 Volunteer of the Year Award. He recently was named to the board of directors of the Industrial Properties Corp. for 2014 and serves on various finance committees within Lycoming County. He is a director for the Lycoming County Revolving Loan Committee and is a member of the Williamsport Housing Coalition, Jersey Shore Lions Club and the Williamsport YMCA. Palski currently serves as the treasurer for The Jersey Shore Junior Athletic Association and holds an administrative position on the Jersey Shore Bulldogs Varsity coaching staff and coaches Junior League football and basketball.

Bank names assistant vice president

West Milton State Bank welcomes Kim L. Printzenhoff to its community banking team. Printzenhoff has been named assistant vice president and treasury management director. She has completed Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s School of Banking and Advanced School of Banking. She brings 25 years of banking experience to West Milton State Bank.

Printzenhoff resides in Watsontown, and is involved in numerous activities that include Junior Achievement and Buffalo Valley Singers.

New agent for real estate office

Weichert, Realtors – Premier has announced that Realtor John Moran has joined the sales team of the Williamsport agency. A nine-year resident of the area, he will assist property buyers and sellers in Williamsport and vicinity. He is a member of the West Branch Valley Association of Realtors and lives in Montoursville.

Moran is a member of Saint Ann Roman Catholic Church of Williamsport. He earned a bachelor’s degree from York College of Pennsylvania and has a background in the transportation industry.

president named

Lynne M. Smith has been named assistant vice president and tax officer for the Citizens and Northern Trust and Financial Management Group. In her new position, she is responsible for income, gift and estate tax planning, administration and return preparation. She is working from the Wellsboro office.

Smith holds her bachelors degree from Elmira College. Prior to joining the Citizens and Northern Trust and Financial Management Group she worked as a staff accountant at Parente Beard LLC and controller at Wolfe Communication Systems Inc.

Smith is a member of the state Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a member of the board of the Wellsboro Montessori Children’s Center and treasurer for the Wellsboro Swim Team.

Smith and her husband, Douglas, have two children and live in Wellsboro.

Nurse is employee

of the month

Heidi Kauffman, registered nurse, was elected by her peers as the November employee of the Month at Watsontown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center located at 245 E. Eighth St., Watsontown.

Kauffman was nominated for her dedication to the residents and the staff she works with. Her kind heart and true dedication to the residents and the staff she works with is a great example of the commitment to quality care at Watsontown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Kauffman resides in Forest Hill and went to Milton High School and Luzerne County Community College. She has two children, Lucas and Lydia. Heidi resides with her boyfriend Justin and his two children Lane and Lyla. They enjoy spending time with their family and their dog Bruzer.

She also is a member of the Turbot Township Fire Co.

2 join staff of law firm

Steinbacher and Stahl has brought two new employees into their expanding elder care and special needs planning law firm.

Shelley Matisz has joined the firm as an estate administration paralegal, working within the estate administration team. She attended California University of Pennsylvania in the social work program, and recently graduated with distinction from Pennsylvania College of Technology, with an associate degree in paralegal studies. While at Penn College, Matisz was awarded the Lepley, Engleman and Yaw academic achievement award for highest grade point average. She is a member of the Lambda Epsilon Chi National Paralegal Honor Society. She lives in Lock Haven with her husband Drew.

Michelle Smith has been hired as receptionist and administrative assistant. In this position, Smith will welcome all who visit the office of Steinbacher and Stahl, or who call with scheduling needs. In addition to her front desk responsibilities, Smith contributes to the work of the firm through a wide range of tasks in her capacity as administrative assistant. She brings more than 24 years of related experience to this position and enjoys the opportunity to assist the firm in facilitating solutions to client needs. Smith has many interests, including gardening and crafting, and lives in South Williamsport with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
