New business spotlight on Lumber Liquidators
Shining hardwood floors greet the customer who enters the front door of Lumber Liquidators, leaving little mistake about the nature of this business located just west of the Lycoming Mall.
It’s one of the few stores one can find in the region that deals strictly in that product, noted store manager Dave Myers.
The store sells hardwood, laminate and vinyl flooring.
Myers especially is proud of the Bellawood floor, a natural grain of wood, which is sold to customers with a 100-year warranty.
“We sell moldings and transmission pieces to match all our floors,” he added.
With greater numbers of people putting wood flooring in their homes and business, Myers feels Lumber Liquidators is a good fit for this area.
“We are part of a chain of 318 stores,” Myers said.
Until now, the closest Lumber Liquidators stores could be found in State College and Wilkes-Barre. Located at 170 S. Lycoming Mall Drive adjacent to Target, the new store sits in a high traffic area for customers. The store opened in December and has already been well received by the local area, according to Myers.
“They are thankful we are here,” he said.
But Myers expects to see a real surge in business in the spring when people are looking to do home improvement projects. Customers, he noted, can take advantage of good prices, he said.
“We buy directly from the mill so there is no middle man in the pricing,” he said.
In addition to flooring, Lumber Liquidators sells many of the tools and accessories needed for installing the product.
The store includes a large warehouse for storage and shipping. Myers said no job is either too small or big for customers. A toll free number is available to customers with flooring questions.
Store hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Wednesday; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
