New business spotlight on Pelage Productions

Jehiel Boner and John Piazza share a love of film, travel and entrepreneurship. That’s what led them to start up a media production company, Pelage Productions.

“We do video and photography,” Boner said. “We hope to get into marketing and consulting.”

The two met while students at Lycoming College and soon learned they shared many of the same passions.

“We shot a musical video for a local artist in town,” Boner said.

The prize-winning video, he noted, “kind of validated what we are doing.”

Boner, 23, feels the the local market is more than ready to embrace the unique talents he and Piazza bring to the table. Increasingly, video is becoming more in demand as a means of marketing businesses.

“It’s a field that will only bloom from here on out,” Piazza, 21, added. “We hope to capture the (local) market.”

Piazza, who graduated from Lycoming College last May, is excited about being part of a small business.

He spent part of the last year working for a travel agency in Italy creating films.

The chance to see another part of the world while working in film whetted his appetite for what he’s now doing. Boner said the sky is the limit as far as their business goes.

“We are trying to do it full time,” he said. “This is something we love to do.”

Boner said they consider all types of media production.

“We shoot weddings,” Boner said.

He feels they bring a “distinct” style to their work. Their versatility is also a real plus.

“We are hungry to work with businesses around here,” Boner said.
