Council welcomes new members
MILL?HALL – The Croda Inc. Community Advisory Council recently welcomed four new members to the all-volunteer advisory group for its Mill Hall facility. Area residents Donald Grant, Karen Gugino, Jim Vaiana and Darlene Weaver joined the CAC, which was established in 2001 to better educate community members about Croda and to enhance peoples’ understanding of the local manufacturer, according to a news release.
A Flemington resident, Grant serves as pastor of the Hillview Wesleyan Church in Flemington, and also is an active member of the Mill Hall Fire Co.
Gugino is a retired child care provider. A Lock Haven resident, she is a former member of Lock Haven City Council and the City and Clinton County planning commissions.
Vaiana serves as environmental and sustainability director at First Quality Tissue in Lock Haven. He resides in Bellefonte.
Weaver is a Lock Haven resident who serves as vice president for the three Clinton County branch offices of M&T Bank.
The new members join other local residents on the council, including Kevin Fanning, Mike Flanagan, Tina Geyer, Brian Martin, Paige McCaleb, Gary Mellott, Jim Merinar, Chadd Miller and Shannon Tyson. Emilie Oishi, Croda manager of safety, health and environment, serves as leader for the advisory council.
Each of the new members, the news release said, will serve a three-year term on the council. They replace outgoing members April Strouse, Michelle Walizer and Tom Walker, whose terms on the Advisory Council recently ended.
