West Milton State Bank finishes 1st in rankings
West Milton State Bank finished No. 1 out of 195 Pennsylvania Financial Institutions in 2013 according to a leading industry Bank performance report of 8 different criteria by Financial Management Consulting Group. The criteria includes rankings of net interest, non-interest income, non-interest expense, efficiency, NPA’s equity + reserves, asset quality index, return on assets, and return on equity.
“Our ranking matrix is based on a number of factors. For a Bank to be the No. 1 Performer requires a superior level of management across the board; not just doing one or two things right, but hitting all the bases very well. And that is after a great year in 2012 ranking No. 2 in the State. The bank has a history of excellent performance,” according to W. Timothy Finn II, president of Financial Management Consulting Group. The firm has been providing state rankings for banks for more than 15 years.
