Hampton Inn opens

Soaring five stories above Loyalsock Township’s Golden Strip and just off Interstate 180, the Hampton Inn & Suites Williamsport-Faxon Exit is now open for business.

And just in time for the summer vacation season.

“We look forward to welcoming new and loyal guests with amenities that they value, like our clean and fresh Hampton bed, free Wi-Fi, free hot breakfast served daily, and a 24-hour business center with complimentary printing services,” said general manager Madge Guiser.

Owned and managed by Liberty Hospitality Partners, of Williamsport, the hotel marks the 84th Hampton property in the state. The hotel officially opened for business May 28. A grand opening celebration is set for 5 p.m., Thursday with the ribbon cutting at 5:45.

Guiser and Miranda Leopaul, director of sales and marketing, led the Sun-Gazette on a quick tour of the 113-room hotel located behind Buffalo Wild Wings in Loyalsock Township.

Leopaul noted that while the hotel’s primary clientele are corporate guests, families can certainly be accommodated as well. She pointed out what she called the “Perfect Mix Lobby” located on the first floor and designed for both leisure and business travelers.

The spacious room offers tables and seating for relaxation.

“We are trying to encourage people to mingle,” Leopaul said.

The hotel also features a meeting room to accommodate various activities.

“We can do meetings and small dinners and events,” Leopaul said.

Among the hotel’s other amenities are an outside patio, indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, and a spacious fitness center. Suite rooms offer microwave ovens, refrigerators and comfortable sleeper sofas. Room rates range from $159 to $199.

Hampton officials noted that the hotel offers easy access to local attractions such as Bowman Field, the Community Arts Center, Bastress Mountain Winery and Knoebels Amusement Park.

Proximity to Williamsport Regional Airport and major corporations including Halliburton, Kellogg’s, Weatherford, Susquehanna Health and West Pharmaceuticals make it a good location for business travelers.

“We have a shuttle van to the airport and local businesses within a 5-mile radius,” Leopaul added.

“Hamptonality” is the unique brand of hospitality offered by Hampton Inn and refers to the hotel’s approach to customer service including suggestions about area attractions, historical facts and things do around town. Local photography and art work found on the hotel’s walls help enhance that mission.

The hotel offers a 100-percent guest satisfaction guarantee.
