Inventor’s products on TV show, retailers’ lineups

Products from Upper Desk Inc. now are available through Ingram Micro-one of the world’s largest wholesale distributors of technology based products, according to a news release. The company also will be featured on the DIY Network’s nationally televised show “I Want That,” slated to air Wednesday, at 11 p.m.

The episode of “I Want That,” the news release said, will take an up-close look at home tools and gadgets from the National Hardware Show, Las Vegas. According to the DIY network, the show “is packed with in-depth information on the coolest products at the nation’s largest hardware show,” the news release said.

Working with the team of “I Want That” in Las Vegas was an incredible opportunity. The Upper Desk team is honored to share our products with the DIY viewers,” Stephanie Phillips-Taggart, Upper Desk Inc. president said, according to the news release.

“Watching the television production crew film our booth at the National Hardware Show was certainly a memorable experience,” Roderick Phillips, Upper Desk inventor said. “We are excited to view the segment on air.”

As a business to business company in the technology industry, Ingram Micro has access to nearly 80 percent of the world’s IT spend, according to a second news release from Upper Desk. Ranking No. 69 on Fortune 500 list, the wholesale distributor Ingram Micro generated $42.6 billion of revenue in 2013 and represents more than 1,400 suppliers, 132 distribution centers, and serves 200,000 customers in about 170 countries.

Upper Desk’s current product line – including the two time industry award winning portable cabinet mount and the portable table mount for smart devices are offered, according to the news release.
