New business spotlight on Spartan Tech Zone
HUGHESVILLE – Adam Creasy is having a lot of fun operating Spartan Tech Zone, the small business he owns outside Hughesville.
As the director of technology in East Lycoming School District, he has a lot of knowledge about computers and electronic games.
Not surprising, that’s what Spartan Zone Tech is all about.
“Our primary focus is the computer repair,” he said. ” We fix a lot of tablets, a lot of phone screens,” he said. “We check a lot prices locally, and we try to stay competitive.”
Part of the business also is given over to sales of computer games and accessories such as XBox 360s and Game Boys as well as DVDs. Creasy said the business has been well received since he opened it in February at 4481 Route 220. He said he decided to start up the enterprise after realizing there were no other affordable computer repair shops in the area.
He strives, he said, to bring about customer satisfaction.
“We want people to come in with their tech problems,” he said.
The store will pay cash to customers who bring in used games. He said plans are being made to set up an area in the store where games can be played by customers. Creasy noted the store marks his first venture as an entrepreneur.
“I enjoy doing it. It’s not work for me,” he said.
Creasy’s business partners are his wife, Kristy, and Dan Strailey. Hours are Monday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Friday, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
