Bank announces

year’s employee

West Milton State Bank announced the bank’s 2016 employee of the year at its annual All-Staff meeting in late February, according to a news release.

This year’s recipient was Brenda L. Wesner, senior head teller at the Lewisburg branch. To be eligible for this honor, the recipient must embody the Bank’s mission, “Helping our Family, Friends, and Neighbors Succeed,” provide exceptional quality service, and support his or her fellow team members.

Wesner truly demonstrates the Bank’s values and is held in high regard by the bank’s customers and employees, the news release said. Wesner joined West Milton State Bank as a teller representative in 1998, and was promoted to head teller in 2010. She trains most of our new hire employees on the teller line; and since receiving this honor, was promoted to senior head teller.

Wesner recently attended the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce Women’s Leadership Symposium and volunteers at different community events in Lewisburg. She is a Watsontown resident. Wesner enjoys the outdoors, and spending time with her two children and two grandchildren.

Office names

Patrick Heller has been named the state Department of Transportation district employee of the month for April 2017.

According to a news release, Heller is a construction inspector who quickly earned a reputation for reliability and professionalism. He has gained a range of experience in various construction projects and has demonstrated dedication in every assignment.

“It was in the wake of the October flooding that Patrick truly showed his dedication,” the news release said. “He volunteered to put in long hours well into the holiday season assisting with inspection duties related to flood repair projects. This work required him to sacrifice valuable time away from his family.”

Despite that, Heller performed this work with enthusiasm. He was an important part of the effort to reopen roads and bridges impacted by the flood.

Heller approaches all assignments with a positive attitude, the news release said. He is good natured and approachable. He is a dependable employee who excels at all aspects of his job.

He is the first district employee to volunteer for and graduate from PennDOT’s inaugural Mentoring Program. This program provided Heller with a wealth of knowledge, allowing him to be better prepared to advance his career while gaining valuable public speaking experience.

Heller serves in the Army National Guard and holds the rank of Sergeant First Class.

A 4 1/2-year PennDOT employee, Patrick lives in Cogan Station. He is the father of four children — daughters Madison and Kennedy, and twin sons Carter and Clinton.

Kevin Hodrick, broker for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hodrick Realty, recently announced the Williamsport office monthly awards for March 2017, a news release said. The award for the sales associate with top production in listings went to Jason Hilton while the sales award went to Amie Penfield.

“Jason and Amie continue to service their clients and get them what they need. Their confidence and professionalism are always impressive. We are very happy to have them on our team.” Hodrick said, according to a news release.

The agents were honored by the national franchise organization, Weichert Real Estate Affiliates Inc., based on reaching minimum requirements in gross commission income earned or real estate transactions closed in 2016.

These Weichert affiliated agents earned recognition from among associates in 39 states at the year’s end: Holly Fullerton and Lori Solomon, Ambassador Club; Becky Moran, Diane Shultz, Julie Hughes, Julie Williams and Tracy Knoebel, Executive Club; Amber Kriger, Deb Simons, Debbie Steppe, Jennifer Eckman, Jody Harlan and Kauleen Hill, Sales Achievement.
