Seminar to assist with

unemployment

compensation issues

The Lock Haven University Small Business Development Center, CareerLink and IMC will host a free workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 1 titled “Unemployment Compensation 101 – Part II at 1127 W. Fourth St.

Topics that will be discussed will include separation issues and refusal of suitable work.

‘Human performance puzzle’ topic of event

IMC will present a live streaming event, “The Human Performance Puzzle” from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Dec. 6.

DISC is a powerful and foundational tool and science. DISC tells us howpeople do what they do. According to a news release, it helps people understand how people are different.

The workshop will explore how brain imaging “taught us what we were missing,” the science of avoidance, that every job rewards something and how combining DISC and driving forces can connect at a stronger level, place people in the right job, and leverage diversity in a new way.

The event will be presented by John Moore, founder of Moore Power Sales.

Workshop looks at

improving economy

IMC is hosting a seminar on the improving economy at 9 a.m. Dec. 7.

The event will cover evaluating sales teams, track predictable indicators of success, focusing on sales management and recruiting stronger sales people.

Workshop to aid with selling to depots

Small Business Specialists Kelly Rhodes and David Kern from the Letterkenny and Tobyhanna Army depots will provide business leaders with the mission of the depots, opportunities to work with the depots and vendor requirements at 1 p.m., Dec. 14.
