Locals attend Republican event

Dr. Grace Shu, Dr. Jason Shu, Winton Lin, Grace Lin and Ruiling Lu attended, by invitation, the “Rally At The Rock” in Bradford County.

Grace Shu serves as chairwoman of the Asian-American Voters Coalition and minority chair of the Lycoming County Republican Committee.

Other attendees from Lycoming County included Joe Hamm, chairman of the Lycoming County Republican Committee, former committee chairman Bob Brobson, Commissioner Jack McKernan and Commissioner Tony Mussare.

Over 200 people attended the Republican event, which featured Republican candidates for state office, including Scott Wagner, who is running for governor; Jeff Bartos, who is running for lieutenant governor; and Lou Barletta, who is running for U.S. Senate.

In a show of party unity, state GOP State Chair Val DiGiorgio and all Eastern Pennsylvania county GOP chairs attended.

Locally, Bradford County Sheriff C.J. Walters attended, and Bradford County Commissioner Doug McLinko served as host.

“This is a great turnout for our Republican candidates,” Grace Shu said. “We all appreciated this gathering, as well as the opportunity to better know our candidates and their positions.”
