Julianna George named Lions Club Citizen of the Month
The Jersey Shore Lions’ Club Citizen of the Month for February is Julianna Theresa George.
George is the daughter of Michelle and Jason Lozensky, Jersey Shore.
George’s activities include FBLA, Awaken Club, Women’s Ensemble, basketball, prom committee, student council, National Honor Society, softball, soccer, volleyball, Interact Club, track and field and chorus.
George serves as an officer for chorus this year. Outside of school, she holds a part-time position at Weis Markets.
She is a member of her church choir, and, prior to moving to Jersey Shore, she had been a member of the Pittsburgh district IMPACT team for many years. She also is a member of her church youth group.
She participated for two years in the sport of mixed martial arts and also coached a little girls’ softball team.
George has lettered in both track and soccer. She was a member of the all-star softball team as well as being selected MVP in softball.
She has earned recognition for her skill in women’s kickboxing and was awarded MVP in her weight class in mixed martial arts. She also is a regular member of the honor roll and was named outstanding student.
George enjoys fishing, singing and running as well as practicing her softball and soccer skills.
She plans to attend Mansfield University to study public relations and sociology with the goal of achieving a master’s degree.
