Alisha Wein named Senior of the Month

Alisha Wein, daughter of Jason and Dawn Wein of South Williamsport, has been named Senior of the Month for April at South Williamsport Area High School.

Wein has been actively involved in National Honor Society (10 through 12), Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (11 and 12), Future Business Leaders of America (11 and 12), Yearbook (12) and Key Club (9 and 10). She has been a member of both the basketball team and the track team throughout her high school years.

Wein demonstrates her leadership abilities this year as president of National Honor Society, president of Future Business Leaders of America and as captain of both the basketball and track teams.

She donates her time with Younglife and also as a member faculty selected Teen Contact group, helping younger students with various needs such as tutoring and peer mediation. Wein was selected and attended the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Conference in her sophomore year and received the Presidential Bronze Volunteer Award and the Gold Spike Award in her junior year.

Following graduation, Alisha plans to attend Misericordia University and major in communications where she will continue her track and field career.
