Mansfield University to host baseball instructional showcase

The eighth annual DeMarini/Wilson Skills Baseball Instructional Showcase is scheduled for Aug. 4 on the campus of Mansfield University.

Instruction by college coaches and evaluations will be given from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The showcase is open to any top high school prospect looking to further their baseball career at the college or professional level. There will be a cost for the showcase, which will include lunch.

Players will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of collegiate coaches from all levels of college baseball. Representation from NCAA Div. I, II, III, along with junior college coaches makes this a tremendous opportunity for any high school baseball player. Instruction will be given in all areas of the game.

Athletes will be tested in the 60 yard dash, arm strength evaluations from primary positions as well as live batting practice.

More than 100 coaches have been invited to attend the upcoming event.
