Two BCRAC employees awarded NATO scholarships

The Bradford County Regional Arts Council announced that two student employees have been awarded scholarships by the National Association of Theatre Owners of Pennsylvania (NATO of PA).

NATO of PA is a non-profit organization, formed in 1984. Each year NATO of PA considers scholarship applications from employees of motion picture theatres across Pennsylvania. Specific criteria including academic performance, work performance and financial needs are considered in selecting the scholarship recipients.

Five scholarships totaling $10,000 were awarded for the 2012-13 academic year.

Two of the five scholarships awarded across the state were awarded to employees of the Bradford County Regional Arts Council.

Craig Moore, Sayre Theatre employee, received a $2,000 scholarship. Moore is the son of Bradley and Kathleen Moore and will be attending Penn State University, State college, pursuing a degree in engineering.

Nick Spano, Rialto Theatre employee, received a $2,000 scholarship. Spano is the son of Nick and Sue Spano and will be attending Penn State University pursuing a degree in veterinary and biomedical sciences.

The BCRAC, established in 1976, is a regional non-profit organization committed to the promotion and support of the arts and culture.
