Women’s Club names Girl of the Month
The Business and Professional Women’s Club Girl of the Month for November is Gabrielle Dominique Antonicelli, daughter of JoAnn Evans, of Jersey Shore.
Antonicelli’s activities include prom committee, homecoming committee, percussion ensemble, concert band, concert choir, women’s ensemble, drama club, school musical, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Model U.N., Constitutional Convention, percussion ensemble, Mosaic, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, class committee and is a member of the color guard and the soccer and track and field teams.
Antonicelli has served as class treasurer for four years. She also has been treasurer for the musical for four years and choir secretary for three, as well as having served three years as section leader for color guard. She has served one year as student council treasurer, one year as vice president and two years as president. This year she is senior vice-president for FBLA and president of National Honor Society.
She has volunteered her time for the Moose Youth Awareness program. At the Williamsport YMCA, she is a lifeguard, swimming lesson instructor and children’s party host. During the summer, she works as a lifeguard at the Jersey Shore public pool. Currently, she is directing the play “The Great Gatsby” at the Community Theatre League.
Antonicelli has twice qualified for state level competition in FBLA. Having placed first at the state level, she went on to compete at the national FBLA contest. She has earned letters in both band and choir and has qualified for the PMEA district and regional choir festivals. She was awarded a grant from the Pennsylvania Moose Lodge in recognition of her work in children’s awareness of stranger danger. She also has been selected as a member of the homecoming court.
She enjoys acting and musical theater along with geocaching, hiking, swimming and camping. Following graduation, she plans to attend college for a degree in writing or multimedia journalism. She would like to continue as a volunteer in children’s theater.
