Penn College graduate wins Builder of the Year Award
HARRISBURG – Warren Peter of Warren Peter Construction Inc. was awarded the Pennsylvania Builders Association’s Builder of the Year Award recently during the association’s Installation Banquet and Awards Gala at the Radisson Lackawanna Station, Scranton. This is one of the association’s highest awards. Peter is a graduate of the former Williamsport Area Community College, now Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Peter was recognized with the statewide award based on his impact on the construction industry and his service to both PBA, the National Association of Home Builders and his local association – the Indiana-Armstrong Builders Association. More than 200 guests were on hand to applaud this achievement.
Peter has served the association in multiple capacities in his 31 years as a member, as a life director of the board of directors, chair of multiple committees such as the PA Foundation for Housing and Workforce Training and Development, as well as the secretary, vice president and 2012 president of PBA.
Peter is very active in the Indiana-Armstrong Builders Association. Locally, he has served as secretary, vice president and president, as well as membership chair. He also has served his community as: chair of the Craft Committee for Carpentry and proctoring student exams at the Indiana County Technology Center, building homes for lower income families with the Indiana County Homes and Habitat for Humanity programs and construction of facilities for the Homer City Baseball Boosters and the Punxsutawney Baseball Boosters.
