Amanze’s visit from St. John Neumann

Kindergarten through second grade students at West Branch School recently finished a study unit on Africa. They then had a special visitor from St. John Neumann Regional Academy, Njoku-Ibe Amanze, from Nigeria. He came to talk to the students about growing up in Nigeria and answer any questions that they had.

The students then wrote about the experience.

Amanze came to West Branch School. He is 17 years old. He goes to school at St. John Neumann. Amanze came from Nigeria from the east part. His team mascot is the knights. Amanze plays basketball. He won 31 games. He likes chicken. He likes Math.

It was really fun when Amanze came to West Branch School. I learned so much about Amanze. This is what I learned. I learned that he is 17. I learned that he plays basketball. I learned that he is 6 feet 8 inches. He has 2 brothers and 1 sister. He is the tallest in his family. His favorite food is chicken. His favorite subject in school is civics. He has 14 or 15 people on his basketball team. He won 31 basketball games and lost 1. His basketball mascot is the knights. He likes to play video games and hang out with his friend. His best friend is Jesus. That is what I learned.
