Pine Street United Methodist Church awards scholarships

Two students have received renewed music scholarships for the coming year. Tess Marshall, daughter of Thomas and Becky Marshall, of Williamsport, will be in her third year at Shenandoah University studying Musical Theatre.

She has been recognized for her outstanding performance as the lead in the summer theatre production of “Lady of the Lake.”

Adam Bielski, son of Joseph and Susan Bielski, of Williamsport, will be in his junior year as a chemical engineering major and music minor at Penn State. Bielski continues his study of cello and chamber music along with engineering. These music scholarships are made possible from interest on a bequest of a church member.

Daniyel Snyder, daughter of Laurie Snyder, of South Williamsport, will be a sophomore at Lycoming College as a criminal justice major. She will receive the R. Andrew Lady Scholarship established by family and friends of Dr. Lady who was a member of the Lycoming College administration.
