Jersey Shore YMCA to hold Ninja Kids classes

The Jersey Shore Branch YMCA will offer new Ninja Kids classes this fall. This year there will be an all new curriculum from instructor Greg Bierly who holds a green belt in Ninpo Taijutsu.

The new program is being presented under the advisement of the award winning children’s author of “Why is Everybody Always Picking on Me,” Dr. Terrence Webster-Doyle. The class will help students gain the physical and martial arts skills to be safe from bullies. New this year, students will begin to understand the causes of bullying and how to talk and negotiate their way out of violent situations.

Each class will be six weeks in length. There will be an introduction class for beginners ages 6 to 12 from 7:05-&:35 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and an advanced course for children ages 6 to 12 from 7:05-8:03 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Both classes will begin Sept. 21. Mini Ninja Kids will return in November for preschool ages 3 to 5 from 6:15-6:45 p.m. Mondays.
