Northern Tier Career Center graduates 28 nursing students

The Northern Tier Career Center practical nursing program held its 32nd annual commencement at Towanda High School auditorium recently with 28 graduates entering the nursing profession.

The students who graduated were Maria Painter, Lindsay Schroeder, Lynsi Cobb, Stephanie Travelpiece, Raven Nolt, Elizabeth Arnold, Kelsy Casselbury, Kaylin Baker, Rebecca Fowler, Stormy Powell, Keri Sparling, Kristen Landmesser, Erin Kettenburg, Hannah Northrup, Kylie Johnson, Danielle Walters, Jennifer Koontz, Miranda Ritinski, Christina Greene, Autumn Hickok, Dale Maynard, Robert Souder, Ashleigh Chilson, Jessica Barrett, Brook Allen, Melissa Potter, Wendy Rogers and Misty Shadduck.

The welcome was presented by the coordinator of the program, Margaret Johnson. Graduation speech was given by Misty Shadduck and the presentation of awards was made by faculty members Susan Orchard and Sandy Congdon.

Student awards included:

Perfect Attendance Award – Kelsy Casselbury, Dale Maynard and Raven Nolt.

Outstanding Attendance Award – Autumn Hickok, Erin Kettenburg, Jennifer Koontz, Maria Painter and Stephanie Travelpiece.

Valedictorian Award – Dale Maynard.

Salutatorian Award – Danielle Walters.

Leadership Award – Autumn Hickok and Lindsay Schroeder.

Class Award – Lindsay Schroeder.

Odd Fellows Award – Dale Maynard, Danielle Walters and Hannah Northrup.

Benediction was given by Erin Kettenburg. Presentation of the class was made by faculty member Brenda Benninger.

Presentation of diplomas was made by Margaret Johnson, practical nursing coordinator, and presentation of graduation pins was performed by faculty member Sandra Congdon.
