Area Students of the Month
Students from Warrior Run and Montoursville announced
Taylor E. Williams, senior at Warrior Run High School and daughter of Steven and Jenn Williams, has been named Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month.
She is a member of the National Honor Society,
She is involved in concert band and marching band, drum major and is a member of the cross country and track and field teams.
She is a two-time member of the Susquehanna Valley Band; two-year Tri-Athlete, PHAC 2nd Team Cross Country and Track and Field AllStar.
In the future, Williams plans to attend college and major in secondary education
Austin M. Coup, senior at Warrior Run High School and son of Randy and Tara Coup, has been named Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month.
He is involved in LycoCTC Skills USA, President. He has achieved Skills USA Team Works – regional champ, state champ and national competitor.
For future plans, Coup aspires to be a self-employed contractor.
Lanie A. Urbanski, senior at Warrior Run High School and daughter of Ron and Heidi Urbanski has been named Outstanding Senior for the month of October.
She is a member of the National Honor Society; Class of 2017, president; and a member of the varsity Soccer and track and field teams.
She has achieved the Distinguished Honor Roll, Frederick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony Awards and Academic Excellence.
After graduation, she plans attend a four-year college, major and college undecided.
Tenneille N. Webb, senior at Warrior Run High School and daughter of Shawn and Sheri Webb has been named the Milton Rotary Club Vocation Student of the Month for the month of October.
She is involved in WR News Broadcast and has been awarded Defender Pride.
After graduation, she plans to attend college, undecided at this time and major in business related courses.
Joseph Wentzler, senior at Montoursville Area High School, son of Cindy Todd Wentzler, has been named Boy of the Month, sponsored by the Montoursville Boro Lions Club.
He is a member of Key Club, National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Spanish Club, E-Sports, Film Club, Yearbook, Culture Club, Theatre Arts, Warrior Ambassadors, Prom Committee, Vice President, Class President, Physics Club, Homecoming Committee. He was also involved in soccer, swimming, XC and tennis.
After graduation, he plans to attend Penn State and major in accounting.
Morgan Elizabeth Heap, senior at Montoursville Area High School, daughter of Susan and Thomas Heap, has been named Girl of the Month, sponsored by the Montoursville Boro Lions Club.
She is a member of Key Club, 2016-17 Vice President, Rho Kappa Vice President of the 2017 class, National Art Honors Society, Spanish Club and Student Government.
After graduation, she plans to attend college and major in occupational therapy.
