Mansfield professor to have article published

MANSFIELD — Tiffany Welch, assistant professor and director of Field Education in Social Work at Mansfield University, has had an article approved for publication in  Research & Teaching in Developmental Education, a peer-reviewed journal published by the New York College Learning Skills Association.

The article, “Raising Awareness of Campus Counseling Services: A Qualitative Approach,” details a study conducted to examine ways to improve awareness of campus counselling services.  The Appreciative Action Research Inquiry (AARI) identified strengths and improvements from the perception of key stakeholders.  It focused on findings and recommendations made on ways to increase awareness of college counseling center services.

Welch earned her bachelor’s degree at Mansfield, her master’s at Marywood University and her doctorate of social work at Capella University.
