Lock Haven student wins award Excellence in Communication Award
LOCK HAVEN — Gregory L. Thompson, a student in the Lock Haven University communication program, has won the Excellence in Communication Award. This award, given to a non-media communication senior with the highest grade point average, comes with a $250 scholarship.
Thompson, who has dual majors in professional communication and Spanish as well as a minor in business, is a native of Cooperstown.
While attending college full time, he has worked at Vector Marketing in Whitehall and Dunkin’ Donuts in Cooperstown.
In addition to serving as a Spanish tutor at Lock Haven University, he works as a student manager for the university’s foundation office.
Thompson also has been on the dean’s list at Lock Haven University three times.
