Lock Haven University to host

third annual Veteran’s Benefits Expo

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven University will host the third annual Veterans’ Benefits Expo from 2-6 p.m. Thursday in the Student Rec Center. More than 25 exhibitors will be in attendance. The expo is free and open to the public.

Exhibitors in attendance will provide educational, employment, social, emotional and financial resources, including the Clinton County Register and Recorder’s Office to register DD214s (veterans need to bring their original and 1 copy). The LHU PA Program will be providing free blood pressure and glucose screenings for anyone who attends.

Music will be provided by the LHU Band with a presentation of colors at 2:15 pm. Door prizes will be given away every hour and refreshments will be provided. Attendees can join the Student Veterans Alliance to make a greeting card for a local veteran.

Delta to hold Autism Speaks benefit

The Iota Mu Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta will hold an All-You-Can-Eat Baked Ziti Fundraiser to benefit Autism Speaks from 4-7 p.m. Saturday on the corner of Washington Blvd. and Franklin St. on the Lycoming College campus. The meal will include baked ziti, tossed salad, garlic bread and homemade desserts. There is a cost, with discounts available for advanced tickets. Lock Haven University to hold

third annual Coffee Break Concert

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven University will hold the third annual Coffee Break Concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at Avenue 209 Coffee House, 209 Bellefonte Ave.

The concert will feature students from Dr. Julie Park’s introduction to singing class as well as those taking private lessons with Park.

Each student will present pop or musical theater numbers of their choice and share a personal episode or story behind the piece.

Mansfield University to host

Community Financial Aid Night

MANSFIELD — Mansfield University will host a Community Financial Aid Night from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 14 in Elliott Hall, Room 113.

Students and parents who are interested can stop anytime between those hours. The sessions are free and open to any student attending, or planning to attend, any college or university. In particular, high school seniors are urged to attend.

MU staff members will be on hand to answer question and assist students in filling out their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms. Computers will be available.

Before the workshop, students should apply for their student and parent federal pin number at They should bring their parent and student 2016 Tax information to the session.
