Christopher T. Secules Memorial Scholarship awarded to Hughesville graduates

Representatives of the family of Christopher Secules recently presented the Christopher T. Secules Memorial Scholarship $500 award to both Raymond T. “Trey” Pachucki III and Jacob T. Reynolds, recent graduates of the Class of 2018 of Hughesville High School. Pachucki is the son of Leslie and Raymond T. Pachucki Jr. and Darlene and Carl Parker, all of Hughesville. Reynolds is the son of Jane and Donald L. Reynolds, of Hughesville.

At Hughesville High School, Pachucki participated in Spartan Marching, Concert and Jazz Bands; District and Regional Band; Regional Jazz Band; Musical and Dramatic Theater; Soccer; Track and Field; STEM Club; and was a class officer throughout senior high. He also participated in his church youth group. Pachucki will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology to major in computer exploration.

Also at Hughesville High School, Reynolds participated in Spartan Marching, Concert and Jazz Bands; County and District Bands; Chorus; Spartan Pride; District and Regional Choruses; Musical and Dramatic Theater; Basketball, Football, Track and Field and Cross-Country; FBLA; Student Council; Big Buddy Program; Christian Club; National Honor Society; STEM Club; and Penn College Youth Leadership. In the community, Reynolds is an Eagle Scout from Troop 26; volunteer for Megan’s Box Foundation; played trumpet with the Williamsport Symphony Youth Orchestra, West Branch Chorale and Knoebel’s Amusement Park Band. In his church, he has served as Acolyte, Lay Reader and Holiday Trumpet Player. Reynolds will attend Penn State University, pursuing a dual course of study in business management and trumpet performance.
