Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Le Jeune Chef Restaurant was named an “Award of Excellence” winner by Wine Spectator magazine.

Wine Spectator is the largest paid wine-focused/wine-lifestyle magazine, reaching 3 million readers each issue. The magazine’s annual Restaurant Awards program recognizes exciting wine lists around the world. Honorees are published in its August issue.

This year’s list comprises 3,759 restaurants from 50 states and more than 75 countries whose passion for wine makes them dining destinations for wine lovers.

Wine Spectator grants its Restaurant Awards at three levels. The Award of Excellence signifies sufficient choice to satisfy discerning wine lovers.

Le Jeune Chef Restaurant’s wine list offers 500 selections, encompassing major varieties from the world’s key wine-producing regions, with strengths in California, France and Italy wines. The restaurant has been recognized in the Wine Spectator Restaurant Guide annually since 1995.

The restaurant’s extensive wine list allows Penn College’s hospitality management and culinary arts students to gain hands-on experience in wine service and food-and-wine pairings, while the restaurant’s educational atmosphere allows patrons to learn about wines.

88 of the 2018 Restaurant Award recipients are in Pennsylvania. To browse the list, visit http://restaurants.winespectator.com.
