LHU Alumni Association to host ‘Pedal Power with President Pignatello’
LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven University students, staff, faculty, alumni and the community are invited to join LHU and president Robert Pignatello to bike the Pine Creek Trail on Saturday. Participants will meet at 9 a.m. at the Venture Inn, Route 44, Jersey Shore.
Participants will ride for one hour, turn around and ride back. Lunch will be at 11 a.m. at the Venture Inn. Cost to ride is free. Each rider will be responsible for their own lunch.

LHU to host author Kathleen George for reading and book signing
LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven University English Department and the College of Liberal Arts and Education will host a book reading and signing by author Kathleen George at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Ulmer Planetarium. The event is free and open to the public.
The reading and book signing is part of the Pennsylvania Authors Reading Series. George’s novels include, “The Blues Walked In,” a mystery novel featuring Lena Horne, set in Pittsburgh in the big band era, and “The Johnstown Girls,” a novel about the life of the last living survivor of the great Johnstown flood.
LHU Social Work Club to host Graduate Fair
LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven University Social Work Club and faculty will host a Graduate Fair from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in the Parsons Union Building (PUB) Multipurpose Room.
The fair is open to the public and all majors at Lock Haven University. Representatives from LHU and the following universities will be there to discuss their programs and have information available at their table: Binghamton, Edinboro, Kutztown, Marywood/Central PA, Millersville-Shippensburg, Temple, University of Pittsburgh, West Chester, and Widener.
The fair will help those interested in learning more about master’s degrees in social work and clinical mental health counseling.
