Montgomery accepting registrations for 19/20 school year
MONTGOMERY — The Montgomery Area School district is accepting registrations for the 2019-2020 school year. It is important to register your child before the start of the school year, said a news release. It helps for a smooth transition to a new school and for the district to plan for the needs of all students.
To register a student in kindergarten through sixth grade, call the elementary office at 570-547-1608 ext. 1127 and for students in seventh to 12th grade, call the high school office at 570-547-1608 ext. 1100.
Immunization records and social security number are required for registration. Two different forms of proof of residency must also be provided at the time of registration. Proof of birth is necessary for those who enroll for the first time in pre-k, kindergarten or first grade or for anyone registering from out of state. Available academic information, such as report cards from a previous school, are helpful. If your child has an IEP, please bring a copy with you when you register.
The school district is also still accepting applications for children 3- and 4-years-old for the Pre-K Counts program. If you wish to register your child, income guidelines must be met and proof of income must also be provided at the time of registration (2018 federal tax return, 2018 W-2s or three current consecutive pay stubs), along with two forms of proof of residency, proof of birth and immunizations.
