Infectious disease specialist joins Geisinger Medical Center
DANVILLE – Dr. Kelly Baldwin has joined Geisinger Medical Center as a neurological infectious disease specialist. Baldwin is the first such specialist to practice at the medical center.
She is a 2009 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown and completed an internal medicine residency in 2010 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she also completed a neurology residency in 2011.
She then went on to complete another neurology residency at West Virginia University in June.
A member of the American Academy of Neurology’s International Subcommittee, Baldwin is an active researcher who been published and presented her work on several occasions.
During her education and training, Baldwin was the recipient of multiple awards, including the Little Apple Award from UPMC in 2010 for excellence in student teaching and the Lauren B. Armistead Award from West Virginia University in 2009 for excellence in academic achievement.
