Guthrie cuts the ribbon on the new physician office
SAYRE?- Guthrie recently held the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Guthrie Troy Practice, a 17,500 square foot, $5.9 million primary care and specialty care physician office.
The ceremony began with a ribbon-cutting outside of the main entrance of the new facility located at 285 Guthrie Drive in Troy.
Dr. Joseph Scopelliti, president and CEO of Guthrie Health, and Dr. Kari Wood, Troy Practice lead physician welcomed the attendees and offered official remarks.
“Just over seven weeks ago we cut the ribbon on the new Guthrie Troy Hospital and today, with the opening of the Troy Practice, we can say that the campus is complete,” said Scopelliti. “Our vision of moving the hospital and the medical office together and delivering convenient and easy access to care for our patients in the Troy area has come together beautifully.”
The new medical office building is double the size of the former Fenner Avenue location and includes 36 exams rooms, ample parking and convenient access to hospital-based services at the adjoining Guthrie Troy Community Hospital.
The Guthrie Troy Practice opened to patients on Nov. 18 and operates 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.

Guthrie Health is a community-based, not-for-profit health care system jointly formed by Guthrie Healthcare System and Guthrie Clinic, also a not-for-profit health care organizations.
