Orthopaedic sports medicine physician joins Geisinger Medical Center
DANVILLE – Dr. Ryan Roza has joined Geisinger Medical Center as an orthopaedic sports medicine physician.
Roza earned his medical degree in 2008 from the University of California at Irvine.
He completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and a sports medicine fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in June 2013.
“When our region’s young athletes are injured, it is important they are treated by specially trained physicians with a background in treating and rehabilitating complex sports injuries,” said Dr. Michael Suk, chairman of orthopaedic surgery at Geisinger Health System. “Dr. Roza joins the athletic training team at Bloomsburg University and Bucknell University providing comprehensive orthopaedic and sports medicine care for all athletes.”
Roza is currently a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
