Susquehanna Health offers free lung screening

Susquehanna Health’s Cancer Center is collaborating with radiology to offer free spiral-computed tomography (screenings to people at high risk for lung cancer on Aug. 30 and Sept. 27, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Susquehanna Health Medical Plaza at Montoursville, 900 Plaza Drive.

Those who may be at risk and appropriate for a lung screening are a current or former smokers, age 55 to 80, or those with a smoking history of at least 30 years of one pack a day or two packs a day for 15 years

Those who quit smoking within the last 15 years, you are also recommended to be screened.

A signed physician referral is necessary to schedule an appointment for a free screening, and limited appointments are available.
