UPMC Susquehanna hosts public PTSD workshop, panel

In recognition of Veterans Day, UPMC Susquehanna is hosting Beyond the Wall the Power of One: Healing PTSD & Preventing Suicide, a condensed workshop, panel discussion and question-and-answer session exploring veteran post-combat issues such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and suicide, according to a news release from the health care provider.

The event will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Walnut Conference Room, Williamsport Regional Medical Center, 700 High St..

Utilizing the power of story, including excerpts from the novel “Beyond the Wall: The Journey Home” and video clips from “Power of One: Preventing Suicide in America,” the presentation will lead to a panel discussion and Q & A session with local experts, health care professionals and veterans who will share their insight, firsthand experience and research, the news release said.

This event is open to the public. Seating is limited.
