Evangelical auxiliary hosts Lights of Love for Hospice of Evangelical
LEWISBURG — The Auxiliary toEvangelical Community Hospital will be hosting the 29th annual Lights of Love Ceremony starting at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 4 with refreshments, with the ceremony beginning at 4 p.m. in the Apple Conference Rooms at the rear of the Hospital’s O’Keefe Dining Room.
Entertainment will be by the Buffalo Valley Singers and the event will conclude with an illumination of the outdoor lights at the memorial garden located just outside of the main entrance of the hospital.
Lights of Love offers an opportunity to honor and remember family, friends and loved ones by placing lights in the memorial garden, which will continue to shine throughout the month of December, according to a news release.
New this year will be a Lights of Love spotlight that will shine brightly on the hospital facade welcoming individuals to the garden.
Each honoree will be recognized in a book in the Degenstein Pavilion of the hospital and a notification will be sent to honorees or their families telling them of the special gift.
All proceeds benefit Hospice of Evangelical, a service that provides care and support to terminally ill patients and their families.
The 2016 Lights of Love Honorary Chairperson for this year’s event is Sue Satteson, daughter of William and Betty Diggan, both past Hospice of Evangelical care recipients.
Individuals wishing to make monetary donations can do so through Dec. 31.
