Youth sporting clay team plans meeting, practice

MANSFIELD – Team Lambs Creek, a local youth sporting clays team, invites boys and girls in fourth to 12th grades to meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 24 at Lambs Creek Sportsman’s Club for an open practice and informational session.

No experience is necessary. The first session is an opportunity to learn about the team and the upcoming season.

Under the close supervision and instruction of the coaches, youth will have an opportunity to experience a sampling of sporting clays presentations.

The team has enjoyed success in its few years and is looking for new shooters to help build for the future.

Team Lambs Creek competes in the Scholastic Clay Target Program, also known as SCTP, competitions where the focus is on good sportsmanship, team participation, gun safety and shotgun proficiency.
