Army Corps plans community meetings to hear suggestions
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Tioga-Hammond and Cowanesque Lakes Project will hold four community meetings in early August to hear suggestions or concerns that local residents may have.
The corps is in the process of establishing short- and long-term recreation and environmental stewardships goals.
The four meetings, each starting at 7:30 p.m. will be held:
Aug. 4, Firemans Annex, 21 East Ave., Wellsboro.
Aug. 5, Lawrenceville Fire Hall, 9 Mechanic St., Lawrenceville.
Aug. 6, Mansfield University Alumni Hall Student Center, Room 307, 31 S. Academy St., Mansfield.
Aug. 7, Tioga Fire Department, 7 Rarrick Drive, Tioga.
Written comments will be accepted until Aug. 1 by mail at Tioga-Hammond and Cowanesque Lakes Project Office, 710 Ives Run Lane, Tioga, PA 16946, or dropped off at that location between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, emailed to Tioga-HammondLakeWEB@usace.army.mil or faxed to 570-835-5422.
