4-Her of the Month
The following 4-Hers were recognized by the Penn State Cooperative Extension office:
August 4-Her of the Month — Ava Lorson
Ava Lorson, 8, of South Williamsport, is a member of the 4-H Cloverbuds. She is a third-grader at Central Elementary School.
One of her recent 4-H accomplishments was when she entered her “giraffe-apede” marshmallow critter in the Lycoming County Fair and won a green Cloverbud ribbon.
Her favorite 4-H memory is making sidewalk chalk and planting pumpkins. Her pumpkin vine is as long as the house.
Lorson also plays soccer and has started karate. She soon will test for her first belt.
Her leaders had this to say about Lorson: “Ava attended all the Cloverbud meetings and at the last meeting she brought cookies to share. Ava is always polite and kind to all the other 4-H members in the club.”
