PA Wilds group plans 4 events in city
Four events in Williamsport this monthwill highlight the PA Wilds.
The new PA Wilds Conservation Shop at the Lycoming County Visitors Information Center will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday.
The Creative Makers Exhibit opens at the Factory Works Gallery at the Pajama Factory, 1307 Park Ave., on Saturday.
Registration is open for the PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship Inc. for the 2018 PA Wilds annual dinner and awards on April 26 at the Pajama Factory. The event will open at 3 p.m. with a reception of the Creative Makers Exhibit on display at Gallery Works. The program starts at 5 p.m.
Speakers at the dinner include Eric Bridges, North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission executive director, and Earl Gofl, Appalachian Regional Commission co-chairman.
This year’s theme is “Celebrating 15 Years: The Wilds at Work,” which acknowledges 15 years of the PA Wilds work, region and mission.
The Creative Entrepreneur’s Conference starts at 8:30 a.m. April 27, also at the Pajama Factory.
“The conference features guest speaker panel sessions on topic areas ranging from how to capitalize on Pennsylvania’s booming outdoor recreation economy, to marketing, wholesaling and utilizing the PA Wilds Design Guide in your business,” according to a news release.
