Reward for arrest of driver who killed 8-year-old
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A $45,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a driver who hit and killed an 8-year-old girl and fled the scene.
Jayanna Powell was walking home from school with her siblings on Nov. 18 when she was struck crossing an intersection in the city’s Overbrook section.
On Tuesday, the Fraternal Order of Police announced they were offering a $15,000 reward. Mayor Jim Kenney’s office also has pledged $10,000. The girl’s parents say her uncle is putting up a $20,000 reward.
